It works when you group over the “Name” column, right?
This is a current limitation of link and link formula columns.
Logically, cells in an link column is an array of rows. So sorting does not make much sense.
If your case, you can first create a lookup link formula and then group over it. A related thread is Group By linked fill
In the future, we may change the behaviour if more users want to group and sort over linked column by its value.
