Adding a New Record to a View Filtered on a Lookup Column is Filtered Out Before Data Can Be Entered

This seems like an extension of this issue from the past:

The difference here appears to be that the view is filtered on a lookup column (specifically a lookup formula column from a User lookup).

I can click the plus sign, but I’m unable to enter any data for the record because the record is immediately filtered out of the view.

Some possible solutions:

  1. It would be ideal if the add record focused on the record, preventing it from being filtered out until data was entered.
  2. Another solution could be to pop up a form view for entering records in this scenario.
