Logging of events do not happen appropriately when it comes to generating links between tables

We require logs of all events on a table for our use. This works fine for all column types except for links. The issue is that creating or changing a link does not show up properly on the log. Only that a user created, modified, or deleted a link - but with no details. When one goes into the entry of the row and look at te log of the row there is no log of the link creation, change, or deletion.

Thanks for reporting the issue. Currently links are treated specially and not shown at the row logs.

We may improve the logs in the future.

Hi Daniel, thank you for the feedback. For our purposes of using the system under 21 CFR Part 11 this is crucial. We would then unfortunately need to move to another system that can give full logs of user actions. If this was available under the Enterprise version, we wouldn’t have minded moving over to it.

We may improve the logs in version 4.1 or 4.2. You can give it a try later.

Just curios, did you manage to add a mandatory field for the reason of change by the user?

We have added such a column where necessary - not all of our systems require such a column.

That’s great to hear! I will keep an eye out for the update.

SeaTable 4.1, which is now available, supports the logging of modifications in link columns. Check it out!
