Describe the Problem/Error/Question:
Less an issue, more a question about the intended behaviour.
We noticed that e-mail-Notification links to records (e.g. when somebody mentions another user in the comments for a record) always refer to the first view of a table. In technical terms, the link contains &vid=0000, which is the “Default View” when you first start a table.
More often than not, users have no right to access that view, or the view is filtered, not showing the record the notification link points to. As a consequence, people need to manually identify and find the record in question in order to see the comment.
I’m not sure whether it’s logically possible to find a better solution, but first questions first: Is that the intended behaviour, and unavoidable? I image that there are situations where a comment is placed in a record that the person who is mentioned and notified has no right to access - bad luck.
But there might be a better solution than just referring the links to the default view?
